Top 5 VC Deals of the Week in Fintech (2/14/23)

Digital Wealth News Continues our Weekly Series Covering the Largest VC Deals of the Week Worldwide in Fintech

Happy Valentine’s Day to all you lovers out there. If I could make custom candy hearts with VC messages, they would say:

  • VC Rocks
  • Fearless
  • Startup
  • Angel
  • LOI
  • Deal
  • NDA
  • Liquidity

Well, you get the idea. Those little VC hearts would be great conversation starters. But just in case you want to end the VC relationship, Brach’s End the Conversation Hearts have sayings like “nope,” “salty,” and “let’s not.” A little sarcasm is now available in candy form to help get your point across.

Some notable trends this week:

  • According to our research, there were fewer VC deals this week, but award amounts were up (cha-ching!),
  • This week’s #4 (Conquest) has some notable VC backing- Fidelity CA, BNY Mellon, and RBC- all upping their ante for more robust financial planning software;
  • Car IQ, this week’s #5, has secured VC backing from insurance companies, car parts companies, a credit card company, and even a convenience store/ gas station chain! Something big is on the horizon; I can only hope that autonomously filling my gas tank is also on their product roadmap…
