This week we continue our series on the top 5 VC-funded deals in AI.

This week our overall AI venture capital activity continued its acceleration from prior weeks, with all five of our listed announcements coming in over $400 million and 14 announcements coming in over $100 million.
The biggest announcement, per FinSMEs, came from San Francisco-based Supabase, which raised a $500 million Series F to “expand operations and its development efforts,” according to its announcement. Supabase develops an open-source Postgres development platform, or, in layman’s terms, software solutions for the data management side of artificial intelligence. Our second-place announcement was from New York-based Flourish, which raised $500 million round which it will use to “build an in-house neuroscience lab equipped with high-resolution electron microscopes, develop an AI memory management system, and scale hardware partnership tracks with commercial chipmakers,” according to its announcement. Flourish develops self-learning AI models structured like the components of biological brains. The top five also included companies in the robotics, music generation and IT operations spaces.
Smaller funding raises that did not quite make our top 5 this week included announcements from the business intelligence, AI infrastructure and AI development sectors.
