This week we continue our series on the top 5 VC-funded deals in AI.

This week our overall AI venture capital activity continued its strength from prior weeks, with all five of our listed announcements coming in over $200 million and 7 announcements total coming in over $100 million.
The biggest announcement, per FinSMEs, came from San Francisco-based Prometheus, which raised a $12 billion round at a $41 billion valuation to “acquire massive computing capacity, expand its specialized training data repositories, and scale its engineering presence across international markets,” according to its announcement. Co-founded by Jeff Bezos, Prometheus develops an artificial engineer “designed to simulate physical laws, model real-world trial-and-error workflows, and automate the end-to-end design and manufacturing cycles of highly complex hardware.” Our second-place announcement was from Germany-based NEURA Robotics, which raised $1.4 billion in a Series C which it will use to “build an in-house neuroscience lab equipped with high-resolution electron microscopes, develop an AI memory management system, and scale hardware partnership tracks with commercial chipmakdrive serial production to multi-million robots by 2030 and support the global rollout of NEURA Gyms, its real-world training environments for cognitive robots and Physical AI,” according to its announcement. NEURA develops machines that work, learn and adapt alongside humans in real-world environments. The top five also included companies in the security, frontier AI and cloud computing spaces.
Smaller funding raises that did not quite make our top 5 this week included announcements from the agentic AI, AI infrastructure and AI security sectors.
