Christopher Grella joins NJ Wealth Partners after more than three decades in financial services
Prudential Advisors is adding an experienced New Jersey financial advisor to its growing network. The wealth management arm of Prudential Financial announced that Christopher Grella has joined NJ Wealth Partners in Holmdel, New Jersey. Grella brings more than 31 years of experience in financial services. He was responsible for more than $110 million in total client assets at Ameriprise Financial.
NJ Wealth Partners is part of Prudential Advisors, which supports more than 3,000 financial advisors nationwide.
Grella has built his career across several major financial firms. He began as an investment executive at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. He later worked at Janney Montgomery Scott and MetLife. He also spent time as an independent financial advisor. Most recently, he served as a vice president at Ameriprise Financial.
His move to Prudential reflects a familiar trend in wealth management: Experienced advisors are looking for platforms that can help them grow while allowing them to stay focused on their clients.
Grella holds the CFP®, APMA®, CRPC® and CDFA® designations. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and international business from Miami University. He also holds an MBA in finance from Rutgers Business School.
“I’ve built my business on my deeply held values of building confidence, transparency, empathy, and personalized guidance to create lasting relationships and seek better outcomes for clients and their families,” Grella said.
Prudential Advisors says its open-architecture platform gives experienced financial professionals flexibility and access to a broad set of wealth management resources. The firm also says its platform is designed to help advisors build and preserve wealth through personalized guidance and comprehensive financial planning.
Grella’s arrival adds another experienced advisor to Prudential’ s national network. In June, the firm added David Bellamy, a Lexington, Kentucky-based financial advisor responsible for over $140 million in total client assets at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
