This week we continue our series on the top 5 VC-funded deals in AI.

This week our overall AI venture capital activity accelerated once again from recent weeks, with all five of our listed announcements coming in over $500 million and 12 announcements total coming in over $100 million.
The biggest announcement, per FinSMEs, came from Sydney, Australia-based AI factory provider Firmus, which raised a $2 billion round to “accelerate the next phase of its Project Southgate AI Factory rollout across Australia and lay the groundwork for expansion into other key Asia-Pacific markets,” according to its announcement. Our second-place announcement was also from the AI factory space, where Los Angeles-based Hadrian raised $1.37 billion to “accelerate its expansion and bring its platform to millions more people faaccelerate factory expansion, scale workforce training programs, and continue investment in automation, AI-driven tooling, and real-time manufacturing intelligence,” according to its announcement. Rounding out the top 5 are announcements from the AI infrastructure and lendtech spaces.
Smaller funding raises that did not quite make our top 5 this week included announcements from the air defense, precision medicine and AI infrastructure sectors.

- Description: Provider of a connectivity platform designed to optimize networking and communications for AI infrastructure and high-performance computing environments.
- Funding Amount: Over $700 million

- Valuation: $5.51 billion

- Description: Provider of an AI-powered lending platform that leverages artificial intelligence to streamline underwriting, credit assessment, and loan origination.
- Funding Amount: $500 million
