Composition Wealth is strengthening its senior leadership as the registered investment adviser seeks to expand its business and attract more financial advisors.
The Los Angeles-based firm said it has appointed Gabrielle Glemann as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer and Joe Salcido as Head of Advisors. Composition Wealth has more than $12 billion in assets and 125 employees nationwide.
Glemann will oversee legal and compliance functions and work with senior management on governance, risk management and strategic growth. She joins from Cercano Management, where she was General Counsel and Partner. Earlier, she was a Director of Legal & Compliance at BlackRock, supporting its global alternatives platform.
Salcido will focus on advisor growth, coaching and practice management. He spent nearly 10 years at Edelman Financial Engines, most recently as Regional Director of Wealth Planning for the Southeast. He also helped the firm navigate two major mergers and integrations. Before that, he spent more than a decade at Vanguard in sales, trading and operations roles.
Composition CEO: Appointments are an ‘Investment’
The appointments come as Composition Wealth seeks to build on its position as an advisor-focused RIA. Founded in 2007 as Miracle Mile Advisors, the firm now has offices and team locations across major U.S. markets including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Seattle and San Francisco.
CEO Nate Angelo said the appointments would strengthen the firm’s management team and support its expansion plans.
“Our investment in high-quality executive talent reinforces our commitment to the growth of our firm and advisors,” Angelo said.
Composition Wealth says it works with successful individuals, families and business owners through a model that combines financial advice with investment, tax, estate and retirement planning.
The firm’s strategy also centers on its relationship with independent financial advisors. Salcido’s role is designed to support those advisors as they seek to grow their practices, while Glemann’s appointment adds senior legal and compliance expertise as the organization expands.
For the RIA, the additions reflect an effort to support a larger national business.
