This week we continue our series on the top 5 VC-funded deals in AI.

This week our overall AI venture capital activity accelerated from recent weeks, with all five of our listed announcements coming in over $450 million and 13 announcements total coming in over $100 million.
The biggest announcement, per FinSMEs, came from the U.K., where London-based AI infrastructure provider Nscale raised $3.36 billion via convertable to “further accelerate expansion of Nscale’s vertically integrated AI cloud platform – from behind-the-meter power plants to liquid cooled AI data centers and large-scale GPU clusters – to support accelerating demand for AI cloud services,” according to its announcement, which also mentioned that the company was headed for an initial public offering. Our second-place announcement was New York-based Instinct, which raised an additional $1 billion in its Series C to “expand operations, development efforts and its business reach,” according to its announcement. Instinct says it is building a personal agent that handles the complexities, meaning many of the normal everyday tasks we take for granted, of life. Rounding out the top 5 are announcements from the civil defense, health and communications spaces.
Smaller funding raises that did not quite make our top 5 this week included announcements from the healthcare, real estate, AI infrastructure, and biotechnology sectors.
