Digital communications and compliance firm Smarsh has strengthened its 10-year partnership with Verizon by making it easier for Verizon customers that are required to capture, preserve and monitor mobile communications to procure and deploy Smarsh’s mobile message capture solution.
According to a press release, Smarsh has joined Verizon’s Bill-on-Behalf-of program, which saves customers time and resources by streamlining the procurement process and providing a single bill when they purchase products and services from both Verizon and Smarsh.
The Bill-on-Behalf-of program also makes it easier for the Verizon Business salesforce to sell Smarsh solutions.
The partnership is being forged at a time when the Securities and Exchange Commission has been actively enforcing regulations related to off-channel communications. In September 2023, the SEC charged over 10 firms and imposed more than $79 million in penalties for recordkeeping failures related to off-channel communications, actions that highlight the importance of retaining business-related communications.
“Regulatory scrutiny around off-channel communications is at a fever pitch and only growing, and our expanded relationship with Verizon helps meet this evolving need of our customers,” said Goutam Nadella, Smarsh Chief Product Officer. “We’re making it easier than ever for our customers to procure, deploy and support their mobile compliance efforts, and ultimately to ‘turn off-channel on’ for their businesses.”
