This week we continue our series on the top 5 VC-funded deals in AI.
This week our announcements are led by six deals exceeding the $100 million threshold, meaning Turing’s impressive $110 million round was left off our top 5 list.
The week’s top reported deal, per FinSMEs, came from Santa Clara, Calif.-based Celestial AI, an AI comptuting company, which raised a $250 million Series C1 round in part to “to expand and qualify its volume manufacturing supply-chain to serve customer demand.” The next biggest announcement came from the defense space, where Washington-based Shield AI brought in a $240 million round. The top five also included companies in the life sciences and human resources spaces.
Smaller funding raises that did not quite make our top 5 this week included announcements from the insuretech, infrastructure, and agentic AI sectors.
