Docupace, the back-office operations service provider, has appointed J.T. Petrilli as head of mergers & acquisitions. According to the company release, Petrilli will report to Docupace CEO David Knoch.

“[J.T.’s] proven track record of managing complex deals and successfully integrating acquired companies perfectly aligns with our vision to scale through strategic acquisitions,” Knoch said in a statement. “He brings both deep analytical rigor and a people-first mindset—an exceptional combination for our next phase of growth.”

Petrilli brings more than a decade of experience in financial strategy, corporate development, and post-merger integration, having led M&A efforts for some of the most respected names in the technology sector.

Most recently, Petrilli served as head of FP&A at Mural, a visual work platform software provider. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing financial reporting and companywide performance metrics for a business generating $100 million in annual recurring revenue. Before that, he spent over a decade at Salesforce in increasingly senior roles in the M&A Finance team, playing a pivotal role in more than 20 acquisitions, leading due diligence, financial modeling, integration planning and stakeholder alignment, the company said.

“I’m incredibly excited to join a company with so much momentum and energy,” said Petrilli. “The opportunity to work with David and the Docupace executive team to build and execute an acquisition strategy that complements the company’s impressive product roadmap and accelerates its momentum is a challenge I’m ready to take on.”

Docupace has been active in the M&A space, completing two acquisitions in 2021, last month announced the acquisition of workflow platform Hubly.
