Digital Wealth News Continues our Weekly Series Covering the Largest VC Deals of the Week Worldwide in Fintech

An unusual week in fintech VC…..

Fintech and digital wealth continue to draw strong investor interest, with companies leveraging AI, blockchain, and financial automation to redefine payments, accounting, and payroll services. The past week saw (somewhat) significant funding rounds across various segments of the financial ecosystem.

That said – as we reviewed the closed deals in our source FinSMEs, it was somewhat difficult to pull “fintech” deals out.  There were some that were very clearly fintech deals (pretty much all of those below) but in fact, digital wealth technology is starting to become very blurred and being built in – by rote – into many different technologies.

Some trends that emerged from the winners…

  • All five of this week’s winners came out of the US – woo hoo!
  • Some interesting categories here – health care payments, gaming, non-profits
  • The week’s top deal was “only” $27 million USD, but we fully expect to see mega deals at any given time in the future again throughout the coming year – especially if they have AI built in (which most will, at this point)

Up next are this week’s top 5 VC deals…
