This week we continue our series on the top 5 VC-funded deals in AI.
This week’s top-heavy venture capital funding is led by three announcements exceeding the $200 million threshold.
The top reported deal, per FinSMEs, came from Irvine, CA-based robotics developer FieldAI, which raised a total of $400 million across two rounds in part to “accelerate its global growth, support continued product development across locomotion and manipulation, and enable strategic hiring to scale its team as it plans to double headcount by the end of the year,” according to its announcement. Our second-place announcement came from the cloud computing space, where San Francisco-based Lambda brought in its own $275 million round. The top five also included companies in the autonomous driving, workflow automation and CRM sectors.
Smaller funding raises that did not quite make our top 5 this week included announcements from the dentistry, medical coding, autonomous ships spaces.
