ALOHA. Back from a week in Hawaii—relaxing and clearing my head. Crazy markets make clearing your head necessary.
So, financial markets are in La-La Land. Money needs to be put to work, so nothing will get in the way of buying until every last dime is fully invested. Think musical chairs—the music is playing, and one person at a time is going to be left out (no chair) when the music stops. AND it will stop. Right now, the music is playing loudly. OK then. FOMO is in full swing.
Summing up a little (a view from the beach), it appears there is going to be a spectacular market “blowoff.” Crazy highs for equities and crypto. Easy money? Just get long? Along with those rocket moves up comes HUGE risk. Getting too long and nothing happens is very risky. Play if you will, grab that easy money, embrace FOMO, and hope the music doesn’t stop. Personally, I will be neutral on the S&P 500 and GOLD (yeah, I’m older and fearful… so?).
However, I will keep buying BITCOIN (maybe ETH), since it looks like the buyers will “discover” that it hasn’t kept up with equities… yet. BTC could be a spectacular rocket blasting off.
Should be a very interesting end to the year. See you next week after the mai tai haze wears off.
