We're back in lofty heights this week with all five deals exceeding $100M and one deal just shy of $1B USD. How many times have I said this now-practically every week. The dollars in the VC sector going into fintech are enormous. Methinks maybe just a wee bit of inflation in there rearing it's usgly head in the sector as well - whattya think?

We're back again today with another round of top 5 VC deals for the week in the digital wealth sector.

This week we included a few new sectors - govtech - as part of these platforms are revenue monetization by local governments, and a B2B commerce platform for the manufacturing sector, out of India. Fintech is SO cool, and SO diverse, isn't it?!!

Ohmygosh. I write this column every week and STILL had to stop and turn around to my husband, pause for a moment in near disbelief, and tell him that the numbers have just EXPLODED again in fintech VC. It seems to ebb and flow but every time it flows, the numbers just get bigger and bigger, as evidenced by the $10B deal we lead off with. Yes, you read that right, with a (B).

We're back into stratosphere territory, with the top fintech deal of the week topping a jaw-dropping $600M and the second at $300M.

We're back again today with another round of top 5 VC deals for the week in the digital wealth sector.

This week - all but one deal exceeded $100M USD in funding - again. The THREE deals topping $200M+ USD were in retail fraud protection, insurtech and neo-banking (back end platforms).

It's a very diverse set of funding rounds we have this week including a challenger bank (Current), an interesting automated receivables funding platform (Pipe) which apparently is quite the fintech darling these days, two rewards platforms - one in Wisconsin and the other in India, an a LatAm cross-border payments platform out of Uruguay.

As with last week, we have seen a slight slowdown in the mega-deals for the prior week in digital wealth deals

With bitcoin and crypto in general continuing its pricing uptrend - so, too, is investment within the crypto and blockchain sectors - with 3 of this week's top 5 fintech VC deals falling under those two categories.

IN A TRULY ASTONISHING MOMENT FOR FINTECH VC, this week we saw NINE VC deals in the digital wealth sector in excess of $100M.
